Wine Bars

For the younger couples or the young at heart try the Blue Door at Arrowtown or Attiqa roof top bar in Queenstown for a wine after your meal.


  • A drive out to Mount Difficulty at Bannockburn for lunch or a wine taste. Need to pre book. Lunch only.
  • Brennan Wines at Gibbston Valley for a tasting.
  • Or walk or cycle from Speargrass Rise to Akarua winery for lunch in the garden. Need to pre book.

Coffee Shops

There are a wonderful choice of coffee shops for your morning caffeine hit or an afternoon tea... try Provisions, Mondo, The Boat Shed, Vudu or The Post Office Cafe.


We have a great selection of Pubs, most of which serve fantastic local food and beer: The Cardrona Hotel, Gibbston Valley Tavern and The Fork & Tap in Arrowtown are just a few worth a visit.
